The logo of "Listen to me 3" imitates the "castells" (human towers) because it needs the teamwork of many people. The same as each person with deafblindness does to hold on.

The V European Family Conference is being hold in Salou (close Barcelona), Catalonia - Spain, in October 2006 since the 1st until the 6th. The previous family conference was hold in Slovakia, The Netherlands, Italy and Denmark. From Italy these events receive the name of "Listen to me" so the Salou event will be called "Listen to me 3".

Barcelona (BCN) has a very important international airport (at 1 1/2 hours drive distance) and there is a second international airport in Reus (REU), used by charter airlines at 15 minutes from Salou. There are various cheaper fly companies.

Tarragona, (10 minutes drive from Salou) with many monuments from the Roman times and now belong to the Unesco patronage, is a close city.

Salou map 		Gaudí, Dalí, Picasso are some of the Catalan artists. Barcelona is an important tourist site. In Catalonia the beaches are splendid and there are a lot of tourist sites prepared for family holidays or vacationist.

The conference will have specific activities organized by the EDbN for parents and for deafblind people and organized by the Siblings network for siblings. The most important organizations in the Deafblindness field give their support to the event:

  • Sense.
Some of the communications will be: Learning & teaching sexual education to Db people; The Coclear Implant: what is it, up to date situation and European organizations; deafblind youngsters planning their future; work integration of young people who are deafblind; Hereditary diseases of the retina, state of the question …

Several tourist activities have been organized. A visit guided of a complete day to Barcelona City will be the central activity. All the nights there will be artistic activities for all audiences thanks to several Catalan folk groups. There is a possibility to have a visit to Port Aventura theme park This is a place with shows and attractions for all the family close to the hotel.

Conference fee (Including accommodation, transport from/to the airport, Barcelona visit guided, all meals and conference papers): 250 Euro per person, 325 Euro per person after May 31. For registering at conference, please fill the form in the language you prefere (Catalan, Spanish, French, German, Italian, english) and send it us by mail, e-mail or fax.
